What is a coated fabric?Under a specialized process, a polyester fabric (made at Carolina Performance Fabrics) is impregnated with liquid PVC. The result is a material with high resistance to abrasion, wear and tear.
-
Coated canvas vs. laminated canvasA coated canvas offers greater durability, resistance during the life cycle of the automotive packaging project and easy cleaning, therefore, lower repair and maintenance costs. The characteristics of a laminated tarpaulin make it prone to detachment of PVC, easy damage from abrasion and tearing. Our coated fabrics have been developed with the end user of automotive packaging in mind.
-
Is a Top Coat fabric better than a Tyvek or a non woven fabric? Each material has a different purpose and requires particular care. Although they can coexist and be compatible in a packaging project, it is important to identify the conditions and use to which it will be subjected so as not to fall into bad practices or incorrect specification, which can generate scrap, damage, losses and extraordinary expenses.
-
