Under a specialized process, a polyester fabric (made at Carolina Performance Fabrics) is impregnated with liquid PVC. The result is a material with high resistance to abrasion, wear and tear.

The characteristics of a laminated tarpaulin make it prone to detachment of PVC, easy damage from abrasion and tearing.
